The ifk Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften | Kunstuniversität Linz in Vienna strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Accessibility of Federal Websites and Mobile Applications (Web Accessibility Act – WZG), Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019, as amended.

Stand der Vereinbarkeit mit den Anforderungen
Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, this website is partially compliant with Conformity Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.2” or the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
Non-Accessible Content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
a. Non-compliance with accessibility guidelines
Not all images have meaningful alternative text. Some images are missing the alt attribute (WCAG Success Criterion 1.1.1: Non-Text Content).
Closed captions are not available for a large number of time-based media. This means that WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.2 (Recorded Captions) is not met.
Color contrast is insufficient in some cases (WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)). We strive to provide text labels for elements with insufficient contrast or to offer alternative text for them.
b. Disproportionate Burden
The website contains content that is, in some cases, not yet fully accessible. We are committed to designing the site’s content accordingly in the future.
c. The content does not fall within the scope of applicable legislation
Third-party content that is outside the control of the ifk Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften | Kunstuniversität Linz in Vienna is exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding the compliance of this third-party content with accessibility requirements.

The assessment of the website’s compliance with the WZG for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was conducted in the form of self-tests according to WCAG 2.2 at Conformity Level AA.

Enforcement Procedures
If you do not receive satisfactory responses through the contact option mentioned above, you may file a complaint with the Complaints Office of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the contact form of the Complaints Office.
The FFG reviews complaints to determine whether they pertain to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, in particular failures to comply with accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an institution under its jurisdiction.
If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the relevant legal entities and propose measures to remedy the identified deficiencies.
