Ph.D., ist Seniorresearchfellow am Institute of Griental Studies (lOS) der Akademie der Wissenschaften, Moskau. 1995/96 Fellow des Collegium Budapest, Institute for Advanced Study, Gastprofessor an der Universität Sielefeld, Center for Advanced Study.
Publications
Er publizierte zahlreiche Arbeiten, u.a. zum kulturellen und ökonomischen Wandel in Rußland, darunter: "Historical (Ahistorical) Consciousness in Eastern and Western Cultures", Oriens, Nr. 3, (1995)|"Russian Reaction to Westernization" in CultureMarket-Modernization, (Torun, 1995).
