The international dimension of higher education is to be perceived as one of the important features of contemporary universities but our scientific understanding of this dimension is still less developed. Therefore the board of IFK decided to host and co-sponsor a research workshop focused on this topic hence to contribute to the scholarly efforts in this field.

ifk NOW is the print magazine of the ifk. It is published twice a year and provides information about the semester program and the ifk Fellows.
The term ›Eurasian steppe peoples‹ conjures up a homogenous image of mounted warriors wielding bows and arrows and the famous Attila the Hun. However, the various peoples from the Eurasian steppe of the Pre-Mongolian era were more diverse than such stereotypes allow.
